Note: Overall, my first experience with 800-Porcelain.com (one of Lomonosov Porcelain Stores online distributors) was quite good. I called to discuss shipping options and prices. They answered the phone promptly and provided the needed information in a friendly and easy to understand manner. The merchandise I purchased (the Lomonosov Cobalt Net pattern sugar server and creamer) were fairly priced (and were priced quite generously in comparison to other online distributors of Lomonosov porcelain), though I do think the Cobalt Net pattern is a little expensive overall given the amount of it that is being produced and marketed by Russia today -- but if you are going to buy it, make sure you buy it from 800-Porcelain.com as opposed to any of the other distributors (many of whom are probably buying their porcelain direct from Lomonosov also and then reselling it at a significant mark-up -- but you dont need to pay this much, you can also buy from Lomonosov (or their distributors) and avoid the other retailers mark-up -- shop around and compare prices). Note that 800-Porcelain.com is marketing the Import Quality, which is very important (sometimes others market lower-quality knock-offs). Finally, I received a 5% discount toward my next order. As such, I have decided to complete my Cobalt Net pattern of porcelain dishware over the next few months to the extent that my finances will allow, and will do so through 800-Porcelain.com exclusively (and with the 5% discount for returning customers). In the main, with respect to item prices, shipping prices and options, and just the simple ease of ordering, I found it much easier to deal directly with these people than to bother with e-Bay, as many collectors seem to do instrinctively. Not me, not anymore (at least as far as completing my Lomonosov Cobalt Net collection). Kudos to 800-Porcelain. com!!!!!!

I really appreciated the convenience and option of using PayPal - that was a huge plus - rather than putting the purchase on a credit card. Here were the few glitches: 1. The items were purchased by me and delivered to another address as requested. Since they were going to a seperate address, I thought it might be clear that these items were gifts. But some of the delivered items, unfortunately, still had price stickers on them when the gift was opened. 2. I wish Id had the option of using FedEx rather than UPS. I really dont like UPS and, true to UPS form, the box was delivered a little late. (When I tracked it, it had been mis-scanned and sent to Miami which delayed its delivery. UPS is always messing up!) Despite the glitches, I will still order from this merchant due to price and quality of product. Thank you
