Lomonosov Bone China Collection

Bone china is a type of porcelain basically made by adding ox bone, bone ash to kaoline and petuntse. Bone ash is a major constituent (almost 50%) of whole mixture formula of bone china porcelain. This process greatly increases the translucence, whiteness and strength of porcelain.
Lomonosov bone china has the highest level of collector's items, that includes the impression of airiness, lightness, transparency and elegance.

Lomonosov Porcelain is the first and the most famous Russian porcelain manufacturer. It was Tsar Peter the Great's big dream to produce Russia's own porcelain.
In 1744 his daughter Empress Elizabeth established the first porcelain factory in St. Petersburg, Russia.
